Furniture retailer Art Van and Motown music artists both celebrated the half-century mark Wednesday night with a musical bash in Warren that also raised $5,000 for Gleaners Community Food Bank. About 700 people each paid $10 to enjoy a show featuring live music by three Motown acts in the clearance center converted into a glitzy concert venue at the Art Van Store on 14 Mile Road. "We have 50 years for us and 50 years for Motown — it's a great celebration," said the company's chairman and founder, Art Van Elslander after dancing with several women at the end of the performances.
